Aerospace, Maritime and Defence Conference (AMD)

In 2014 we planned and executed the inaugural Aerospace, Maritime and Defence Conference, sponsored by Denel. This was succeeded by the 2015 event, and is now an annual event on the AMD calendar, attended by leading local and international influencers and decision-makers in the sector. The conference offers fresh, insightful perspectives on the development of the competitive AMD market in South Africa, as well as its inherent global tie-ins. Speakers included high-ranking representatives from both government and the private sector.

Industry Paintball Challenge

This exhilarating and unique corporate social networking event is South Africa’s first military simulation paintball challenge. Hosted at a Denel facility, dotted with decommissioned equipment, aircraft and vehicles – including a Cheetah fighter jet, Impala trainer aircraft, camouflage nets, and tanks – the paintball challenge pits AMD sector corporate teams against each other, in “full out war, without the blood”.

South African National Defence Force Education Trust Fundraiser

In 2013, the South African National Defence Force established the SANDF Education Trust to provide educational support to dependents of SANDF members who passed away or suffered servere injuries while on duty.

The SANDF Education Trust believes that education is vital for the socio-economic wellbeing of all South Africans. Over R1 million worth of academic bursaries have been awarded in 2016 already, bringing the value of the educational assistance provided by the SANDF Education Trust to R3 million since its inception.

To this end, SANDF Education Trust hosts a gala dinner bringing together key industry-stakeholders in order to raise funds for this worthy CSI initiative.

Guests are treated to first-class entertainment and a delicious three-course meal. We also host an exclusive auction on the night, with a number of unique, once-off prizes up-for-grabs.
